Ready to be the next Hemingway? Vonnegut? J.K.Rowling? Good luck with all that. We’re just looking for a few good writers to rock some awesome posts on The Official Blog of Savers. Hey, we can’t guarantee you’ll get rich and famous from it, but if you get picked, you’ll get to tell all your great stories to Savers near and far. (And you’ll get a little more cash in the bank, too.)
Ready to share your story?
Here’s the link to the application: https://wethesaversblogger.com/.
Please fill out all sections. We’re looking for a one-year savings commitment, with a minimum of one blog post each month detailing the trials and victories of your savings endeavors. You have until 5 pm on February 23, 2010, to complete your submission. If we choose you, we’ll add $200 a month to your savings.
And remember, have fun with this! We’re excited to read what you have to say.
Please note that we will only consider applications submitted through this application site: https://wethesaversblogger.com/. To be eligible, you must be an ING DIRECT Customer, at least 18 years of age and a U.S. Citizen.

Thanks for posting the application!
Hooray! It’s here!
To ALL: Best of Luck
To ING: Nice form. Way to keep things simple. One of the themes you all seem to have.
I’m excited. I did apply but tried to upload a profile picture and your application would not take it. It was definitely a jpg image I tried to upload. I tried several jpg’s of the size you specified but it would not take them. Hopefully if you pick me, I’ll get a chance to upload a photo. I hope the lack of photo does not count against me.
@Paula: Hmm, we’ll take a look. But no worries – the lack of a pic won’t affect our review process. Glad you’re excited. We can’t wait to read all the entries.

I had problems with the photo too. I changed the file extension from .JPG to .jpg and took out the parentheses in the file name and it worked. Same photo, same size, just a different name.
I’m excited about this opportunity, so here’s hoping you’ll pick me!
This is a golden opportunity for a lot of savers and budding writers! I am hoping that I get picked so that I can explore this incredible topic and share my thoughts and experiences with everyone!
Yep, the photo upload did take a few tries . . . but I also found that the “jpg” versus “JPG” helped. I dare say, I enjoyed the application process: kudos to ING and, like others have said, good luck to all!
Great to have the application posted! I started to fill it out– but got interrupted before I could complete the 3rd page. Didn’t see a way to save work in progress — and had to close out. Hopefully, since I didn’t submit anything, I will be able to start over again when I have time to fully complete the application?
@SallyR: If you didn’t click “submit,” you should be able to access the application again. If you have trouble, let us know by posting a message here (we’re checking regularly) and we’ll see what we can do to help you out.

Can I confirm the application deadline? Earlier I saw somewhere conflicting deadlines, one Feb. 12th the other Feb. 23rd. We do have till the 23rd, right?

Now that seems to have been corrected, but the application still says midnight, where the blog post says 5 pm. Can we have those extra hours?
5pm in what time zone? Thanks!
